Music at BBC

Excellence in music is a constant thread in the fabric of Broadmoor Baptist. That thread is woven through all aspects of our ministry because we believe we have a gracious, loving God who deserves our highest praise and deepest devotion. The music ministry offers opportunities for every age group from preschool through adult. Come find your place in this exciting ministry!

Children and Youth

On selected Sunday mornings (during the Sunday School hour), all children and youth gather together for a short period of time, to learn musical concepts and to rehearse songs.  Along with the director, they diligently work together to support the various age groups and music is planned for presentation in future worship services.

If you are a student with musical interests, Broadmoor Baptist Church wants you to be involved in our music ministry. The Belles et Beaux handbell ensemble and Broadmoor Brass are perfect examples of other musical opportunities at Broadmoor.  These are perfect places for the youth to connect with other students, adults, and to use their talents to honor God.

Adult

The Sanctuary Choir at Broadmoor is a vibrant part of our Music Ministry. This choral ensemble provides leadership in Sunday morning worship services. In addition, special musical presentations are prepared and offered throughout the year.  These musical works cover a wide range of styles and are often accompanied by professional instrumentalists from the community.  Regular rehearsals occur each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Choir Room. If needed, child care can be provided.

The Broadmoor Belles et Beaux is made up of talented handbell ringers who enhance the Sunday morning services by periodically offering an anthem during worship. If you are interested in being a regular player, a substitute or wish to learn how to play handbells, please reach out!  Rehearsals are on Sunday afternoons from 4-5 p.m. and take place in room 219 at Broadmoor Baptist Church.

 

The Broadmoor Brass consists of four members from the congregation of Broadmoor Baptist Church.  Currently, those instrumentalists play tuba, euphonium, horn and trumpet.  This ensemble rehearses infrequently when called upon to join in on choral anthems or hymn singing.  The ensemble is enhanced by additional guest instrumentalists, such as percussionists and trumpets.
